Garrett Bailey is an actor, model, writer, and producer based in New York City. They recently graduated from Off-Broadway Theatre Company, The New Group's studio at Long Island University. As an artist, Garrett's work has encompassed stage, screen, and beyond.

 

As an actor, Garrett has been featured in NBC late-night show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (S11 E89), where they portrayed NBA basketball star Larry Bird in a comedy game, as well as in the Vevo Music Video of Peter McPoland's Dog. They have also starred in an Ad Campaign for the gratitude app Gracefill, Rick Kong's production of Child's Play, and a mockumentary titled Snooks. They appear as a recurring character in the series Grace vs. Ghost and have also made a co-star appearance in the Dekko Original series Danny Will Die Alone. Furthermore, Garrett co-hosts and co-creates the chillingly hilarious podcast The Lifeless Podcast with Grace Mitcherlich.

 

Garrett has portrayed several roles on stage, including Lorenzo the Unfeeling in Sarah Ruhl's Melancholy Play and Max in Sam Hunt's Pocatello. They have also originated the quirky yet lovable character of Tim in Amina Henry's Little R*pes, the unnerving and mysterious Caretaker in Grace Mitcherlich's Murder! at the Hienekin Estate (Sheen Center for Culture and Thought), the bone-chilling Homonculus in Emile Lacheny's Tea Time (The Tank), and the bold and sarcastic Derek in their self-written and produced play, The Infidels.

The Infidels, by Garrett Bailey, follows the journey of Derek, a naive and uncompromising college student, as he navigates a relationship with a man trapped in an abusive marriage. The play dives into themes of abuse and the ripple effects of abuse in relationships while exploring the complexities of love under such circumstances. The Infidels premiered in Brooklyn, NY in March 2023 and is currently in continued development.

 

Garrett's primary focus as a producer has been on literary development, marketing/merchandising, and general production. They have worked with Off-Broadway Theatre Company, The New Group, under the guidance of Associate Artistic Director Ian Morgan, to develop new plays.

 

Garrett has also produced the plays Straight by Scott Elmgreen and Drew Fornarola, as well as The Infidels, a self-written work. Additionally, they were on the production team at Kitchen Sink Theatre Company for Poster Child, a play written by Ozzy Dickson and staged at The Kraine Theater.​

 

Garrett also serves as Co-Founder and Producer at Pulse Productions. Pulse Productions focuses on developing new shows and media for film, theatre, and television. Pulse Productions strives to create work that will "raise your pulse" and "make your heart skip a beat". Pulse Productions most recently developed a new season of a ghost-hunting show Grace vs. Ghost, starring Grace Mitcherlich (2M following), and the theatrical debut of I Wanna Sl*t My Wrists by Emile Aslan Lacheny.
